Abdul Rahman Samsideen famous as Sambwoy Gh on the night of Ghana’s independence day chose to shutdown the in-service training center with his unity concert.

The Upper West Music Awards Artist of the Year chose the Unity Concert as his first major project after his big win sighting the porous nature of the industry for the move.

The idea according to him was to provide a platform for reconciliation so as foster unity and tranquility. These as many agreed are very necessary for growth. The Unity Concert was to also celebrate the major gains the industry has made so far.

But like all great ideals, the unity concert was soon hit by challenges.

First his effort to make amends with his ex boss and godfather Best Gally was met with huge resistance which almost degenerated into something ugly.

And then when the flames of that dimed, an even bigger challenge sprang up. A section of the Zongo community decided to organize a free concert on the same night of the Unity concert and nothing anybody said and/or did was going to stop them.

These were huge problems even for the resilient young King. However, like he did with Angaa-mwini, the ‘Atuma-daana’ crooner rose above these bottlenecks to record record breaking numbers; shutting down the in-service training center in the process.
